For reasons only known by the individuals who where once committed, these relationships ended abruptly. With the weddings now called off and the relationships unstable, there were many items left in limbo that had significant monetary value. These items if given the proper forum to be sold can potentially help people recoup money lost while also helping a new bride to be find items at a discounted rate. Items such as; Wedding favors, engagement gifts, wedding dresses, even contractual deposits left for services like photographers, videographers, wedding hall, caterers and a few others.

The owner of My Wedding Is Over then started to think “Why not develop a site strictly for people who have been in relationships? There would be many items left behind that either party would wish to get rid of.” Whether it be for the emotional connection they no longer wish to have, or to recoup some monetary loss. Then with more consideration the thought expanded to encompass anyone who was in the engagement process and subsequently ended the relation.
