In addition to all of the above, I find that writing good wedding related articles on article websites like EzineArticles has increased traffic to my website and also increased page rank. The articles are high in Google searches for wedding photography. The more unique, relevant and better quality articles attract reader’s attention.

These are some great SEO basics. It might be worth discussing what “do follow” means and how to find powerful keywords for your niche. Most wedding vendors don’t really know what this stuff means or why it’s important to them. (I can say that with confidence not only because I have dozens of wedding pro friends and clients–up until about 3 years ago I was pretty clueless myself!)

Great article! Never heard of DMOZ so I’ll have to check that directory out, I knew someone who worked in a big company that used an automated-SEO tool, Google wasn’t so happy about that so it’s definitely good advice not to take any shortcuts and do it the tried-and-true way.
